Kolkata police arrest 2 in Gangrape allegation

Pragati Maidan police station in Kolkata received a complaint alleging gang rape involving a young woman in a traveler car near the Anandpur auto stand. According to police sources, the incident reportedly occurred on Sunday night between 8 pm and 9:30 pm. The victim, who works in management, lodged the complaint on Monday, stating that she had gone out with friends and was allegedly gang-raped during the journey.

Following the complaint, police swiftly arrested two of the accused youths involved in the incident. The names of the arrested individuals have not been disclosed for investigative reasons. Efforts are underway to locate the remaining three individuals who were purportedly present in the car during the incident. The arrested suspects underwent medical examination and were subsequently presented before the Alipore court. Investigations into the case are ongoing as police continue their search for the other suspects involved.
